"Call it a Ritual"
[audio:http://www.subpop.com/assets/audio/4274.mp3]
Wolf Parade, is imminently set to unleash their sophomore album and their introductory track, "Call It a Ritual," is a grand, atmospheric rock ballad that sharply whets the appetite for their forthcoming release. Lead singer, Spencer Krug's soaring falsetto reminiscent in the dreamy and tonal quality of David Bowie pairs nicely with complementary vocals provided by Dan Broekner. Krug croons about mysteries held in a vast sonic desert, a lush orchestration of heavy rock, wind-swept with echoing poetic lyricism. These Canadian indie-rockers are strong in their resolve to blast the world with the sheer forces of heightened decibels, keys-heavy melodies and driving militant beats. Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming full-length, At Mount Zoomer; it will prove to be an epic affair.
