Occupation and Position.

What neighborhood do you closely identify with? What makes it so unique to you?
Well I would have to say The 18th Arrondissement in Paris because that where I lived the longest and I liked the melting pot and feel of this neighborhood. Anything would go and happen, it was highly creative, messy and full of energy! A bit dangerous and sketchy at time but what a great place to feel alive. It's a unique district from a historical pov at the bottom of the Montmartre hill and tucked between a serious Ghetto and a large flea market. I loved the off beat general atmosphere. Think of it as LES pre Guliani with more racial mix. Now I live in orange county and I can't identify with any hoods down here mainly because there isn't really...Suburbia paradise and tract home ghost town... I would have probably loved to be in West Hollywood in the 80's when it was punk and not glamorous. Or Laguna beach in the 70¹s when it was wild and free... I do like venice and silverlake although it's yuppying itself at a scary fast pace.
What's the greatest item that you've dug up at a local garage sale? How much did it cost?
I found a Jean Paul Goude vintage photo book "jungle fever", paid $4.00 for it and recently saw it on ebay for $350.
If you could interview one unsung hero, who would it be? Why?
It would be Shuggie Otis because he is a musical genius so ahead of it's time . I find his sound fantastic and can listen to him every day, he is a great inspiration when my day goes south..
What's your favorite youtube video?
My boy from Paris directed this little video full of reference. I dig it !
Where are your favorite local spots to eat?
In Laguna Beach would be la Sirena for mexican, San shi Go for japanese and Bamboo Bistro for vietnamese. What are your favorite local nightlife scenes?
Not really any great scenes down here but okay drinking holes would be the Saloon and Dirty bird in Laguna, and the Cougar den in Corona del mar for laughable sighting... Thankfully I have bros in LA where it gets a lot better.
What songs are at the top of your playlist at this very moment?
I just got back from Baltimore and I just can't get out of my head the Usher feat young Jeezy song let's make love in the club. It was on heavy rotation on all radio station. I'm completely brain washed... Besides that summer hit... I'm rediscovering early Miles Davis and love the soundtrack of elevator to the gallows in particular, sad but stunning sound. What new projects you are building on right now?
A third and last project with the Bike co SE RACING. Something with The label Agnes B and also a very cool project with SIX PACK FRANCE.
