New York based designer Richard Chai’s latest Spring 09 line stands out. Clever construction with an ease in his approach to tailoring, Chai’s concise yet bold collection is satisfying. His trademark shirtings employs two color tones, which works very well with the breezy ensembles in this collection. Chai’s previous experience includes working for Marc Jacobs to later directing and resurrecting the TSE label. His own line allows him to really flex his skills. Definitely a brand label to keep one’s eye on.
