Common Projects

I’m sure many of you have heard of Common Projects for quite some time. I was reluctant to give them a try because I was initially turned off by the high price point of what I assumed to be a very basic shoe. Recently I had a chance to try these babies on. I broke them in while I was strolling around New York. These white patent kicks are easy to maintain and they are extremely comfortable! The outsole of these sneakers appear to be a vulcanized sole, yet upon close inspection, the outsole turned out to be a cupsole made to look like your everyday Vans. The shoes are made in Milan and from the looks of what I’ve seen in the latest sneakers from the camp of Lanvin, Margiela, Kris Van Assche and Raf Simons; the same factory is making these molds. Price points of a Lanvin lowtop sneaker is around $550 and above so when you consider what you get from Common Projects, its kind of a steal if you’re willing to part away with $300. Even still you’ll get a quality product from a quality manufacturer.
