VisionVersion: Health “Triceratops”

I wanted to shine the spotlight on VisionVersion, a groundbreaking new division within the growing community of Dublab that features a creative collective of talented, up and coming directors.  Health (a favorite of mine from the DIY noise scene) harangues the crowd with tribal drum beats, screeching guitars and a homemade guitar pedal/microphone called a Zoothorn.  Their explosive song, "Triceratops," was performed live at the Materials & Applications building, a rich hub of Silverlake's experimental architecture.  The segment helmed by the director, Saul Levitz, was filmed entirely on 13 Macbook laptops .

Thank god, for Dublab!  They've completed their vision and took their art collective into the digital visual realm.  Now going strong over seven years, they became an instrumental force in disseminating independent, high quality music for the discerning crowds in Los Angeles and beyond.  Stay tuned for some more favorites of mine that we will be highlighting as well as interviews from some of the VisionVersion directors.
