Barbara Munsel

One glance at the leather-clad fall runways looks like Romance flew the coop with summer.  But hope is a thing with feathers.  And silk.  And hand-crocheted lace.  Like a sweet nothing beckoning you to your windowsill, Barbara Munsel’s independent designs are a breath of unstructured air.  A caplet in beige silk with white feathers, a hand printed tunic with balloon sleeves, and a yellow top in ruffled tulle whisper of romps any Bronte could pen.  So don’t just whither in winter, waiting to grow wings.  Munsel’s designs remind us autumn isn’t a fall from anything.  Just an excuse for a summer fling to take flight.
