It’s no surprise that Limi Yamamoto sticks to androgynous shapes in neutral colors, Yohji is her father after all. While it may be easy enough to write her off as simply a byproduct of her father’s aesthetic, Limi holds her own when it comes to

construction and execution. Her Spring 2009 collection makes me a bit nostalgic, taking me back to the days of my youth when I’d tromp around my Junior High in oversized pants, black boots and headphones glued to my ears, blasting Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana or whatever other parentally shocking music we all liked to use to bait our moms and dads with. Needless to say I didn’t rock the look nearly as pulled together (or as adorably) as Limi’s collection, and if any of you angry 13 year olds out there are reading take note because this is how you should be rebelling.
