It isn’t in my nature to get behind celebrity “designed” lines. Whether it’s Jennifer or Gwen or LC, give a girl a little bit of cash and a stylist and she suddenly thinks she’s the next great fashion genius. Now when I heard Mrs. Joel Madden (aka: Nicole Richie) was designing a line of jewelry named afterthe couple’s baby girl Harlow I was skeptical. Yes the girl can dress, but lest we forget that the girl also has an army of stylists pointing her in the right direction and can we so quickly erase the mess of ensembles Miss Richie used to put together…

Much to my surprise the small line of bangles, earrings and rings is actually really cute. Erring a bit on the vintage side the line is also surprisingly inexpensive with prices ranging from $12 for a silver ring up to $125 for a leather cuff. While I can’t say that this is the most innovative jewelry line I’ve come across I will say that Nicole did it right in keeping it small and simple. The pieces are easy to mix and match and are classic enough to stand the test of time.

And as for me endorsing celebrity lines, well there’s a first time for everything…
