My good friend, Carson Mell is heard here reading an excerpt from his illustrated novella, Saguaro . A highly entertaining read that chronicles the life of Bobby Allen Bird, a weathered, middle-aged man left in the lurch at the height of his rock star youth, pondering 30 years later what to do with the rest his life .

Carson’s work has been featured in Wolphin and his animated shorts have circulated the Sundance festivals.  He not only exudes natural talent in everything he does, but he’s also one of the hardest working individuals that I know.  It is sincerely a pleasure to watch him develop as an artist.
