With effortless sangfroid, Barack Obama prepares for his imminent presidency in the New Year. Already he has been taking strident steps in uniting the two parties, putting aside petty partisan bickering to tackle the difficult economic times ahead.
This includes smoothing visibly ruffled feathers during one of the most competitive presidential campaigns to date. One of Hilary Clinton’s confidant leaked to the NY Times, her likely acceptance of Obama’s request as his Secretary of State. Well, if you were to ask me, I think she’d be brilliant in that position…certainly a far cry from “Bush’s hag.”

Classic Illinois son. Lincoln did the same when he became President. He brought in all four of his political rivals into his cabinet. Excellent move on Obama’s part if all goes through.
Interesting choice. I feel that Hilary Clinton is a very capable person that would work well with the Obama administration, yet I am concerned with the inherent foreign policy differences that she has when set against Obama’s. Hilary is a proud woman, and as a woman myself I am proud that she exists in our day and age. I hope Hilary will be able to finally shine.
