EM: Occupation and Position.
Android Homme / Truestar Media / Robot Is The Future / JL Productions
Creative Director / Lifestyle Engineer / Grand Architect / Chief Creative Officer

EM: What neighborhood do you closely identify with? What makes your community so unique?
I would have to say downtown Los Angeles. What makes this particular downtown so unique than any other place in the US is the fact that it is a huge contradiction. Los Angeles County has one of the highest homeless rates in the US and I’d have to say 95% of them “reside” downtown in about 4-5 square blocks. Now the contradiction is that downtown recently experienced a construction surge that brought in thousands of new lofts, condos, and apartments of which due to the housing market half are sitting there empty. So its crazy to think that there are thousands of empty condo units, in buildings with very few tenants, and thousands of homeless with no homes, yet no one has been able to solve the puzzle on how to put those two together and find a complete solution. At the same time the culture downtown is what makes me feel creative in a monotonous Hollywood scene. Downtown you will find Latinos, African Americans, whites, Asians, middle easterners, etc from all walks of life being forced to cohabitate and exist together. The paradox of multimillion dollar condos, and cardboard box tents right downstairs is pretty amazing to me. This dynamic socio economic cultural explosion is what makes downtown Los Angeles so unique.

EM: What’s the greatest item that you found at your local garage/estate sale?
I found a brass eagle about the size of the one Ghostface had on his arm. It looks like It could have sat on top of a gate at a great estate. I was thinking how I could dip it in Gold and flip it, but Ghostface killed it already so its just in my closet.

EM: If you could interview one unsung hero, who would it be? Why?
Manly P. Hall would be a pretty good interview. I could think of some heroes I’d like to interview, but he seems to be an unsung hero. He was a Canadian Author and a mystic that wrote over 75 books. His most famous book of which I have and read often is The Secret Teachings Of All Ages. In 1934, he founded the Philosophical Research Society (PRS) in Los Angeles, California, a non-profit foundation dedicated to the study of religion, mythology, metaphysics, and the occult. PRS maintains a research library of over 50,000 volumes, and also sells and publishes metaphysical & spiritual books.

Interviewing him would be like a ride on a magic carpet whereas he could probably take you on a journey before time existed to the present.

EM: What’s your favorite youtube video.
Damn, I thought about this question entirely too long. I honestly don’t know what my favorite is, but the funniest one that I’ve seen and has been spoofed a million times is probably the kungfu casting, and the mean face baby.

EM: Where are your favorite local spots to eat?
East Japanese Restaurant on 1st and Central in Little Tokyo
Warung on 4th across the street from Blends/Comme De Garcons shop.
EM: What songs are at the top of your playlist at this very moment?
Funny thing is that I don’t really listen to music much on my own time. I work in silence, and pray in silence. But I am feeling what I’ve heard from Justice, Lykkle Li, Kanye, Lil Wayne, and more.
EM: What is your current bedside read?
The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly Parker Hall

EM: What is your favorite city to visit when you travel abroad? And why?

My favorite city would have to be Tokyo, Japan. Future city, crazy style, lovely culture, humble good people.

EM: What new projects you are building on right now?
Android Homme which is a mid to high-end street luxury sneakers, accessories and clothing brand. My marketing company Truestar Media is always at the head of the curve helping brands build credible bridges with the highly sought after youth culture/influencer demographic. I am also working on a passion project with Kevion Stirdivant called Kid Millionaires in which we will be bringing much of what we’ve learned individually about achieving your dreams, and reprogramming your mindset so that it produces extraordinary results to kids and teens around the globe. I’m really excited about all of these projects.

  1. Javier making big moves. Manny Hall huh. He knows the business!

  2. How would I describe Jav? Successful, intelligent, influential. How does one rock fly shit, listen to Justice and Lil Wayne, then whisper “…socio economic paradox…” in your ear? What???!!!!

  3. WOW! This interview was brillant! Im beyond words when it comes to Javier. This mans intellect leaves me in awe each time! Its like Javier sees beyond his talents. Whats so amazing to me is that this man is a Man Of God and is willing to reach out to young people like me, and teens and little children and Im so inspired by this, so inspired. I myself, dont know him personally but I have told him on the space that he has influence me a lot—a whooole lot and I had to send him a gift personally from me just for being who he is. I would love for this man to personally put out a book about himself. the struggles he has went through growing up and how he manage to get to where he is today. I promise to the Lord up above that I will purchase his book! hopefully one day he will consider doing this. It will completely modivate me through my struggles.

Blessings to you Javier!! Much love
