I was searching online a bit about how schools are run in other countries, and I happened to come across something rather amazing. In Germany, one elementary school was recently revamped to the liking of its students. Erika-Mann Grundschule II is unlike any other school I’ve ever seen. All of the enhanced design features were actually created by a group of students, and therefore led the school to be named one of Germany’s top schools of 2008. Yeah, the school is architecturally beautiful, but it seems as if all of these enhancements would be distracting to the child’s learning. In America’s standards, this might be a little much. The early years of education are the most important, and this school seems more like a museum and not a place of fundamental learning.
