The Manifest Hope:DC Gallery was an event hosted by Shepard Fairey that the pivotal role that artists played when using their voices to galvanize the grassroots movement.  Here are a few words from DJ Troublemaker as he describes the phenomenal time he had at the exhibition and party in DC while witnessing history in the making:

Hello all, happy New Year and welcome to our renewed lives!  This past week I was blessed to be a part of history and share it with some amazing individuals.  From being the resident DJ at the manifest hope gallery, to Shepard Fairey’s “Obama Hope” print being inducted into the Smithsonian (yes, the Smithsonian), to the inauguration parties, to our Manifest Hope party with Shepard, Santogold, De la Soul, Moby, and myself with hosts Rosario Dawson, Heather Graham and Michael Stipe, to the day of all days, the inauguration of president Barack Obama. All I can say is it will take me awhile to come down from this cloud.

I would like to thank Manifest Hope, Shepard and Amanda Fairey, Jenn and Yosi with Evolutionary Media Group, and Lorrie and Shauna from Hot Bread/Soul Kitchen music for all their love and support.  Attached are a few photos (courtesy of Mark Snelgrove) and below are some incredible links.
