James Jean

maze

Eight time consecutive Eisner and Harvey award-winner, James Jean, proudly features his debut solo exhibition at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery; really a pivotal moment for his career as he resolved to stop illustrating for DC/Vertigo comics and focus more on his personal paintings, book projects, and gallery shows.  His collection sends lovely shivers up the spine as he displays dark, fanciful creatures with clean, fluid lines over neutral, gently glowing backdrops.

The nation’s capital has transformed itself into “Obama land” as local residents and tourists honor the inauguration of the first African-American President.
