The Nothing Office, Made of Cardboard

The Nothing creative brand agency in Amsterdam’s latest demonstration of its unique in-house branding is an office made entirely of cardboard. Plain brown cardboard makes up the stairs, shelves, tables and walls of the Nothing agency studio, creating “something” out of “nothing.” To fill up the blank spaces, visiting artists, like Fiodor Sumkin with his impeccable pen illustrations, have furnished the walls as an expanding temporary gallery. Designed by Alrik Koudenburg and Joost van Bleiswijk, the cardboard office makes for a cheap, constructive use of space and materials. By creating unique brand experiences like these, Nothing hopes to turn consumers into advocates. Let’s just hope the cardboard they used is fire-retardant.
