EM: Occupation and Position.
Independent Film Professional (Producer, Editor, Actress) and Blogger.  I’m a social networking whore, too.

EM: What neighborhood do you closely identify with?  What makes your community so unique?
Growing up, I moved around a lot and I’ve lived all over and around LA so it’s hard to say.  I love Pasadena cuz’ it’s close to LA, but not LA.  I love Little Tokyo cuz’ of the food and arts events that take place there.  Miracle Mile is where I currently reside and it’s a pretty cool neighborhood, too.  I’m also in K-town A LOT cuz’ of the people I hang with.

EM: What’s the greatest item that you found at your local garage/estate sale?

Am I allowed to say that the best purchase I’ve made in the last few years was my 24″ iMac?  I haven’t gone to a garage sale in years…

EM: If you could interview one unsung hero, who would it be? Why?
My mom.  I’ve interviewed my dad for a documentary project before, but I’ve yet to interview my mom.

EM:  What’s your favorite youtube video.

I love Apple (and it’s not cuz’ I’m from Cupertino!  shoot, I grew up on PCs!).  I gotta say, Bill Gates is adorable in this vid:

EM:  Where are your favorite local spots to eat?

Green Apple (it’s supposed to be a yogurt place, but it’s all about the food), Life (great happy hour), Mani’s Bakery (LOVE the vegetarian chili), and Monsieur Marcel at the Farmers Market (it’s a really chill spot with good wine and food).  All walking distance from where I live.  A friend also recently introduced Sante on La Brea to me… it’s a really yummy raw and organic vegan/vegetarian-friendly restaurant… with some amazing desserts!

EM: What songs are at the top of your playlist at this very moment?
A bunch of beats that my friend Bak produced.

EM:  What is your current bedside read?

I don’t read a whole lot anymore, but when I do, I read the Bible.

EM: What is your favorite city to visit when you travel abroad? And why?

Taipei.  It’s all about the food and shopping.  Osaka’s pretty cool, too…the best ramen with fat slabs of pork I’ve ever had.

EM: What new projects you are building on right now?
I’m trying to form more collaborations with other filmmakers and artists.  I’m also trying to blog more and rebuild my online presence.  Hopefully, there will be more random YouTube videos from me.  Lastly, I’ve been involved with the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival that happens annually on April/May — I also curate the music video program for them.
