Domus Intersections

Italian design and architecture magazine Domus continues to thrive in print media by way of innovative reader experiences. By putting together well-conceptualized and smartly designed pages, each issue of Domus is like a piece of artwork. The video above is an example of this in the March 2009 issue. By intricately folding the pages, the reader can reveal two illustrations by Tobias Krafczyk, a tactile interaction of Print 2.0, if you will.

POP Beauty

The last time you had your makeup done you walked out of Bloomingdales with a multicolored cheat sheet and a complete un-mastery of your own smoky eye.  Luckily, bold Brit chic Sarah Strand is prepped to punch up your pout – and then some.  The makeup artist’s perky line is filled with glistening glosses, sparkly shadows, high-shine highlighters and all those correct and conceal needs in between.

Air Jordan Vs. Raging Bulls.

air-jordan-v-5-raging-bull-pack-available-early-1

May 30th has been set as the release date for this new limited pair of Jordan’s.  What better way could there be to celebrate the struggling economy than to go out and buy a $310 pair of shoes.  A full red suede upper seems a bit much for Air Jordan’s but over the past few years they’ve been bastardizing the most recognizable shoe line ever to such an extent that it should not really surprise anyone.

Hollywood Remembers 4SJ

theline

Hundreds turned out at the Egyptian theater in Hollywood on Sunday 8th March 2009, on what was a beautiful sunny day, to pay their last respects to the undisputed king of science fiction, Forrest J. Ackerman, who died on December 4th 2008 at the age of 92. Since his death the wheels had been turning to churn out a memorial fitting for the man considered a pivotal influence by so many. Among them Ray Bradbury, Ray Harryhausen, Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, Stephen King, Rick Baker, George Lucas, Danny Elfman, John Landis and the list just goes on and on.

Independent Film Professional (Producer, Editor, Actress) and Blogger.  I’m a social networking whore, too.

EM: What neighborhood do you closely identify with?  What makes your community so unique?
Growing up, I moved around a lot and I’ve lived all over and around LA so it’s hard to say.
