The upcoming Antony and the Johnsons single Epilepsy Is Dancing (out tomorrow in the U.S.) features a ghastly image of a woman with hand-drawn angular lines that accentuate her apparent suffering. I’ve always enjoyed the band’s aesthetic, and the cover and their latest video for “Epilepsy Is Dancing” feature some of the most imaginative and beautiful images of the year. Directed by the Wachowksi Brothers, the video looks like a ghostly yet colorful version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with carnivalesque characters and masquerading dancers.
