Each week I rip a song from vinyl and post it up here. This week’s post is “Bag Lady (Cheeba remix)” by Erykah Badu. I don’t go around professing to own a ton of vinyl, especially since there’s a hefty weight that comes with each purchase. I knew I could only get a certain amount at a time. But when I could get a lot, I had to get it while the gettin’ was good. So with each purchase of that 12″ round piece of vinyl (and its affect on my tactile senses), I had to be prepared for the direction it would take me. I had to be careful with my choice. I think back and wonder about some of the buys I made sometimes. One thing I am sure of though, was the cash I shelled out for this record.
