If you have not heard about Topshop or it’s male line Topman, consider yourself informed.  The UK powerhouse recently continued its big name collaborations with a project that challenges designers to reimagine the iconic white t-shirt.  Look for names like Christopher Shannon, Henry Holland, Juun J, JW Anderson, Phillip Lim, and Richard Chai.

What’s interesting is 10 years ago, anything coming from Topshop was widely considered as unfashionable. However, the brand has built itself over time and now enjoys the prestige similar to Uniqlo, H&M, or Zara.  Not that I ever expect Target to reach the same level, but their recent collaborations with Proenza Schouler and Alexander McQueen are an interesting move to build brand value and introduce high end designers to the general population.
