Acclaimed music video director Chris Cunningham recently did another commercial for Gucci’s new women’s fragrance, Flora.  View it in high-res on the Gucci site here.

Known also for his photographic and musical work, Chris Cunningham holds an eclectic resume, from Portishead and Madonna music videos to commercials for Sony Playstation and photoshoots for Vice Magazine.  A short and simple commercial that says a lot, coupling a siren-like chorus with a sunset field and movements that border on a quasi-orgasmic aesthetic.  It’s interesting to see a director who’s worked mostly with music videos exercise his craft in the limited canvas that is the ephemeral seconds of a commercial.
