Afrika Bambaataa–if you don’t know, you’d better Google somebody–will be guest-speaking at the Advanced Turntablism and Live Performance Techniques class at Scottsdale Community College this Thursday, April 23rd.   DJ Emile, the class’s instructor, has worked hard to make this happen, and Bambaataa has agreed to do it pro-bono out of the kindness of his heart.  It’s a tremendous gesture by the Godfather of hip hop, and a great opportunity for hip-hop heads and DJs alike.  Everyone is welcome, student or otherwise.  More info after the jump–also, stay tuned for a piece about the Scottsdale DJing program in next month’s issue of EM Magazine.
