Topman “We Love the White Tee”

topman_-1If you have not heard about Topshop or it’s male line Topman, consider yourself informed.  The UK powerhouse recently continued its big name collaborations with a project that challenges designers to reimagine the iconic white t-shirt.  Look for names like Christopher Shannon, Henry Holland, Juun J, JW Anderson, Phillip Lim, and Richard Chai.

What’s interesting is 10 years ago, anything coming from Topshop was widely considered as unfashionable.

Verdugo Bar – Glassell Park, CA

This bar night is a bi-weekly event that traces the connections between the music made on both continents of the Americas. Think of it as a National Geographic documentary on sound that will take you from the Andes of Peru to the East Side of LA. From fuzzy cumbias, to funky jazz oddities, to psych freak outs and janky beats…

Q&A: Brad Walker

bradwalker

EM:  Occupation and Position.
I used to be a graphic designer for a company in Baltimore, Maryland, but now I am working on my own creative projects.

EM:  What neighborhood do you closely identify with?  What makes your community so unique?
I identify with Baltimore City – specifically in the Mount Vernon neighborhood. It’s a great community filled with tons of art students creating interesting art and music. Baltimore is a gritty place to live, but its charms are abundant.

Conservatives: The New Hypocrites

Pew Poll Results
I don’t envy the President. Though being compared to the anti-Christ by Crazy Fucking Conservatives™ while concurrently being called the world’s messiah by Crazy Fucking Liberals™ would be sort of cool, I suppose. While I was lifting weights and reading Dostoevsky I ran across this poll by the Pew Research Center which states that Obama has the “most polarized early job approval ratings of any president in the past four decades.” Right. The piece was written like a rhetorical version of post coital seminal drippage. Ah, I love the salty taste of ejaculatory disdain written along with my statistics.
