Italian skate/snowboarding collective Comvert has just introduced a flagship store/office for its Bastard brand in Milan, and it’s set our beloved Internet on fire! Kanye West and a host of others have already covered it, and why not? It’s an irresistible blend of skateboarding, architecture and childish fantasy that exemplifies modern-day urban architecture and skating.
Comvert, who is also the Italian distributor for Electric Visual, and Italian architecture firm studiometrico took Supreme’s indoor, elevated-skate-bowl concept and supersized it inside a 1940’s theater. This large space also allowed them plenty of room to create a respectable-sized bowl with a nice little vert section and still have plenty of room for a store and a smattering of offices. The resulting space, as you will see from the images, is nothing short of amazin’.
