Each week I rip a song from vinyl and post it up here. This week’s song is “My My, Hey Hey (Cousin Cole’s Into The Blue Remix).” The remix is off of the Flagrant Fowl Tambourine Dream EP and it’s based off of the “My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)” song on the Neil Young & Crazy Horse Rust Never Sleeps album. You can still hear some remains of the audience in the background. Awesome. The song was apparently “inspired by proto-new wave group Devo, the rise of punk [in the 70s] and what Young viewed as his own growing irrelevance.” Kurt Cobain also quoted a line from the song, “It’s better to burn out than to fade away.”

All the songs on this EP are great. It was hard to pick one, so here’s a totally brilliant video with more songs from the EP too.
