For her first ready to wear collection, FIT trained designer Karolina Zmarlak chose to focus on new technologies in fabric and how they effect versatility and wearability for a modern woman. Working with a stabilizing textile called power net, Zmarlak constructed designs that are easy to manipulate and configure to each wearer’s specifications. Hidden snaps and ties also allow for easy adjusting and customizable fits.

After logging time at Carolina Herrera and Theory Zmarlak has spent the last few years crafting made-to-measure pieces for clients and her first step into the ready to wear spectrum is indeed a gorgeous one. Taking all her knowledge of tailoring and fit and blending it with sense of creative freedom, she has produced garments that are as innovative and individual as the women who will inevitably wear them.
