In this thrilling documentary entitled The Cove, activist filmmakers led by Rick O’Barry unveil the disturbing truths behind Japan’s multi-million dollar industry.  The film centers around a dolphin themed water park built from Japan’s fascination of the U.S. show, Flipper. EM:  What neighborhood do you closely identify with?  What makes your community so unique?
I currently live in Silverlake and love it.  I love that I can step out the door on foot and head down the hill to local coffee shops and the best farmer’s market on Saturdays.  The East Side rules.  Such a great diverse community full of hidden finds.  The local cafe’s, boutiques and galleries are some of the best in the city.  And if you feel like chillin’ in the grass on a lazy afternoon you have multiple parks to choose from. →
