Wale – Fastest Rapper Alive

330 Ritch – San Francisco
Live Review: 6/23/09
***
Last night, Wale was in San Francisco for a show at an intimate little bar venue known as 330 Ritch.  Tickets were $10 presale, and Wale was the only act on the bill.  Sounds like a dream concert, right?  Wrong.  After 3 hours of DJ warm-up sets, Wale finally showed at 1am, and went on to play the shortest set in concert history at just about 20 minutes.

Go Skate Day

Skateboarders everywhere will show their love and support for skateboarding by holding fundraisers, contests, protests and demos. They’ll skate across cities, gather in skateparks, stream into their local skate shop and some will even revel in the solitary

The Original Mustang

p51_1

There is something undeniably compelling about the fighter plane.  The roar of the engine, the death-defying manuevers–they all come together to create a glorious machine that demands attention and respect.  Most recently Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean did a excellent brief article for GQ on the beloved P-51 Mustang–or as he puts it–the “Bugatti of the sky.”

Who is Neda?

By now, the situation in Iran is no longer a mystery to the world as social media bloggers in Iran have captured the events in real time, conveying a message to the world that they are not silent. As Western media networks were banned from coverage, tech savvy citizens started to post photos and videos to show their first hand experience during the front lines of the protest in Tehran.

Many Twitter avatars have been converted to green to show support of Iran’s election dispute. As I read BBC’s website and watched CNN anchors cover the leaks out of Iran, I was captivated by the story of a young Iranian woman known as Neda.
