For all those grown folks out there who still have their collection of toys neatly lined up in their room, you can now take your toys with you anywhere. In June, Akashi Tatsuhiko, president of MEDICOM TOY met with special guests Yamaguti Hiroki, Sanrio’s Director & General Manager and Kuwahara Shigekazu of King CEO Club at the Apple Store in Tokyo’s Ginza district to discuss a future project featuring MEDICOM TOY. At the meeting, topics such as the history of the Bearbrick and their new direction geared toward working with digital content were mentioned. Specifically, the upcoming Bearbrick iPhone App, entitled W@tch was discussed which allows users to animate the Bearbrick toy virtually and play around with the different Bearbrick designs that are available on the application which also includes clock and meteo functions. Yes, now you can check the weather for the week and play with your precious toys at the same time wherever you go and still feel your age.
