London-based street artist, INSA ran the streets of London on route of Charlie Dark’s map for the IAM1 Journey Nike Sportswear project to hand-paint 35 pieces in 7 days. He is one of the featured artists to collaborate with Nike Sportswear for the IAM1 Journey Project. Nike heads, be ready. The project celebrates the launch of the Nike Sportswear Air Maxim 1, which is the evolutionary product of the ’87 Air Max 1 for 2009. The project incorporates various multi-media works and has brought together talented individuals and artists including Charlie Dark, the Run Dem Crew, young producer Goldielocks, visionary artist Benedict Radcliffe and of course, INSA. INSA’s exhibition video was edited and produced by Protein and documented by photographer Ethel, who has worked with INSA as a collaborator for years. INSA has set his latest exhibition to open on July 17th at the Nike 1948 store in London. His hand painted pieces together will become one of the centre pieces of the London solo show which is entitled, “Looking for Love In All the Wrong Places”, and will run through July 26. Does this mean you can get both art and Nike at the same place and time? Yes, because sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too.
