Undercover Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show

Jun Takahashi, a designer known for his edgy and minimalist style had his first international showing of his menswear collections for his brand, Undercover, which premiered at the 76th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo’s Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show at the beautiful Boboli Gardens in Florence, Italy. Takahashi’s collection consists of casual daily clothes with hidden functionalism and will be made available to consumers in September. His Spring/Summer 2010 line was inspired by German industrial designer Dieter Ram, whose work focuses on the beauty of simplicity and discarding the unnecessary. The show included both women and menswear and showcased more than 688 fashion companies and a total of 832 brands. Out of those 832 brands, 266 were foreign brands. To those of us who couldn’t quite make it to the show, don’t trip. You can still check out the footage by AMAGAZINEcuratedby. It offers behind-the-scene footage of the show and reveals the work behind the creativity of Takahashi’s distinctive style, which has been declared to be fashion’s next big thing.
