Opps, it looks like Sarah Palin is still making waves in the media. This woman, deemed the “renegade” and charismatic personality of the Republican party has not gone away. After announcing her resignation as the Governor of Alaska, Palin is receiving full frontal media coverage (yet again) today.  This time around, she writes an op-ed for the Washington Post, in an attempt to attack Obama’s “tax and cap” plan.

The Train to Munich

train-baggage

Catching the train the other night was insanely intense.  After a languorous day of walking along the Dutch canals, we had some Thai food, drank Chimay with a puff of hash.  Along the way we stared at some purplish veined, aging prostitutes in the windows and then finally made our way into Amsterdam’s Central Station.

Further East

There is so much design talent in the world it feels as though I’d never be able to see it all in just one lifetime. It isn’t only coming from the expected outposts either. So many of these up and coming design sectors are really starting to blow the lid off the established fashion circuit and I, for one, couldn’t be happier. I love seeing creativity from different places and how varying cultures interpret the idea of fashion as a whole. Everyone sees the world from different viewpoints

Onra – Summer Joints (Podcast)

The current Wanderlust issue features an interview with Parisian DJ and vinyl junkie Onra about his travels through Vietnam and his 32-track compilation Chinoiseries. Since then, Onra has kept busy with another LP, 1.0.8, this time focusing on electro-soul and synth sounds. He recently sent us a podcast called “Summer Joints,” a lazy summer compilation put together from his vinyl collection. This month, Onra will set out for a tour of China, with stops in Beijing and Shanghai, and end the summer at the Nowa Muzyka Festival in Poland.

Protein presents a major new installation and exhibition by INSA, in association with IAM1 & Nike Sportswear. ”It started with Charlie Dark and the Run Dem Crew and got me thinking of how I see London and running. And I’m not really much of a runner, but I thought maybe my artwork would travel around the city. My art would do the running for me,” smiles INSA.

With Sage Francis at the helm of the Strange famous brand, it comes as no surprise that the label’s artists-showcased in this exclusive mix-deliver a similar style of hip-hop-sharp, gritty, and unabashedly to-the-point when it comes to lyrical content. DJ Pickster One compiled the tracks for the Strange Famous Megamix 2009,
