Jun Takahashi, a designer known for his edgy and minimalist style had his first international showing of his menswear collections for his brand, Undercover, which premiered at the 76th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo’s Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show at the beautiful Boboli Gardens in Florence, Italy. Takahashi’s collection consists of casual daily clothes with hidden functionalism and will be made available to consumers in September. His Spring/Summer 2010 line was inspired by German industrial designer Dieter Ram, whose work focuses on the beauty of simplicity and discarding the unnecessary. The idea behind “Love and Guts” art show was conceived in early 2005 at the Action Sports Retail Tradeshow in San Diego. First seen on the feet of Missoni patriarch Tai less than a week ago (according to WWD), could it be that the Italian house known for their unmistakable zig zag patterns has teamed up with quintessential American sneaker company Converse? Indeed it looks as though a deal has been inked that will see Converse manufacturing and distributing a line of men’s All Stars called the “Premium Chuck Hi Missoni”. No doubt the collaboration will cause a stir when it hits shelves for spring/summer 2010, because what could be better than a sneaker that literally goes with everything?
