On September 17, the first European solo show titled “Nothing Gold Can Stay” with Scott Belcastro opened at the London Miles Gallery. Scott Belcastro’s paintings that are available for viewing at the show is some of his best works to date. The show includes some large works, size 30 x 40 inches and few smaller ones, 12 x 12. Belcastro’s artwork tends to bring the viewer’s focus to the landscapes and skies rather than the characters in the painting. He aspires to nurture our interest in nature and revive the beauty found in the transformation of our environments. Becoming a part of this natural change is in his perspective, a way of immersing ourselves into a golden moment of time. There is a depth to Belcastro’s paintings explore the native nature of our state of mind and include a depth of natural elements such as his signature meek creatures and expansive skies that leave the viewer with a sense of awareness and the idea that the world around us is inhabited by souls which can communicated and interact with humans. A moment of innocence is captured and its vulnerability to a change that is about to happen. Belcastro’s works are a reflection of his childhood memories, growing up in the immense countryside of upstate New York. His work has been exhibited in galleries such as Project Gallery, Copronason Gallery, and Lebasse Gallery. This forthcoming exhibition at London will be his first international solo show and will be on display until October 5th. All the artwork is on sale.
