N.A.S.A & Indaba Music Team-Up

 

N.A.S.A. and Indaba Music,the leading destination for online music creation, launched a star-studded remix contest today for artists and fans alike to collaborate with N.A.S.A. and guest stars from their debut album, The Spirit Of Apollo.  Participants will remix and mash-up tracks from Kanye West, M.I.A., David Byrne, Tom Waits, Santigold, George Clinton, and DJ AM, among others, to create an entirely new N.A.S.A.-inspired song. The winner will be featured on N.A.S.A.’s forthcoming remix album and will receive $1,000. Visit the contest here. Submissions will be accepted until October 23rd. The winner will be announced on October 31st.  N.A.S.A., which stands for North America South America, is an international collaboration between music aficionados Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon, along with their friends, family, and musical heroes. The Spirit of Apollo combines the sounds of Brazillian funk with soul, reggae, indie rock, old school hip-hop and more. Squeak E. Clean, from New York, and DJ Zegon, from Brazil, have gathered an illustrious group of musicians to realize their vision. By teaming up with Indaba, the duo is including the entire world. “The N.A.S.A. contest embodies what Indaba Music is all about – breaking down barriers to enable collaboration,” says Indaba Music co-CEO, Dan Zaccagnino.
