A Program of Americans for the Arts

Each year, the Emerging Arts Leaders of LA Network hosts a Creative Conversation, which is an event held by Emerging Leader chapters across the country during Arts & Humanities month – October! This time around, the theme is “Leveraging Networks to Maintain a Thriving Organization, Create Innovative, High Impact Art Programs & Advance Your Professional Career.”Topic Summary: Whether in a down market or a thriving economy, arts professionals have to be savvy and nimble to stay vital and craft successful projects – and sustainable careers – in the creative field. This year’s Creative Conversation identifies how you can leverage your professional network to expand resources, grow audience, and increase career opportunities. A diverse panel of arts professionals will discuss the benefits of building strategic alliances with non-profit and for-profit partners, describe innovative approaches to activating alternative spaces, and explain how to market your skills – and much more.

Emerging Arts Leaders/Los Angeles is a professional network of arts advocates formed to support and cultivate the next generation of creative leaders in Los Angeles County by providing them with opportunities to expand their peer network, share resources, and improve their job-related skills through professional development. As the Los Angeles County chapter of Americans for the Arts Emerging Leader Program, EAL/LA is designed to address the specific needs of individuals early in their careers or new to the field, but is open to all individuals who have an interest.
