Gregg Stone’s eerily beautiful multi-media paintings and ceramic skull designs have attracted many of today’s hottest artists ranging from graphic designers to tattoo artists to sculptors and fine artists to input their style of creativity to add to Stone’s unique art form. His multi-media paintings are inspired by his travels through the byways of border region Hispanic communities. He started producing ceramic skulls for an art project rendering El Qaeda and terrorist figures on a grouping of skulls and placed them in a pyramid format. He called the piece “Point of the Spear”. Alex “Man One” Poli was curating and producing a Graffiti show at OCCCA (Orange County Center for Contemporary Arts) when he came across Stone’s work and wanted to collaborate Stone’s skull idea with graffiti art. Since then, graffiti artists have been invited to decorate and design individual skulls to be presented at the exhibition at Crewest for the “Day of the Dead”. The exhibition was a success and has gained continued interest and now has artists of all mediums coming out to the exhibitions. The exhibition is entitled Top of the Dome 6 this year, and will take place at the original location, Crewest in November. This year’s Top of the Dome exhibition is said to bring more creativity than ever before and is meant to inspire the curiosity of roaming souls in search of interesting and intriguing artwork.
