Israeli DJ collective Soulico is an underground sensation in Tel Aviv, but their star-studded new record may earn them new fans in the U.S. Their new record Exotic on the Speaker (JDub Records) features guest spots by Ghostface Killah and Del the Funkee Homosapien—enough reason for hip-hop heads to start paying attention. In the latest single and title track “Exotic on the Speaker”, M.I.A. protégé and Baltimore native Rye Rye rhymes over some funky Middle Eastern strings, but if you think you can give the 18-year-old M.C. a better treatment, here’s your chance. Soulico is celebrating the release of their album with a remix contest.
