Since founding his own label RJ’s Electrical Connections, producer-turned-singer RJD2 has kept busy reissuing his past records on his own imprint. In anticipation of his forthcoming album The Colossus, RJD2 will be giving away free records, Mp3s and other goods every week until January 19, 2010.

It all started with a Mad Men-related giveaway of a rare vinyl test pressing of “The Horror” E.P., which will reissued on RJ’s label on Nov. 17, along with Deadringer (2002) and Since We Last Spoke (2004). Fans of Med Men were asked to guess the events in the latest episode.

So far Electrical Connections has re-released Your Face or Your Knee Caps (2001) and a limited edition box set entitled RJD2 2002-2010, out last week. The vinyl-only box set includes full-length L.P. versions of Deadringer, “The Horror” E.P., Since We Last Spoke, “Tin Foil Hat” E.P. (a brand-new 7 unreleased songs), a hand silkscreened, signed and numbered poster, a download card for the box set content, plus a beautifully printed box.
