Cordy Ryman’s Solo Show

Cordy Ryman showcases his distinctive sculptural paintings and installations at Mark Moore Gallery for his Los Angeles solo show with eight new inimitable works. With a rather organic minimalistic approach, Ryman creates his masterpieces by utilizing the environment and materials and introduces them through the realm of pleasure. His artwork utilizes unique materials including paint, wood, Velcro, swatches, staples, metal and debris and focuses on specific elements such as site-specificity, shadow, raw, materiality and dimension.
Ryman received his BFA with Honors from the School of Visual Arts (NY) in Fine Arts/Arts Education in 1997. His art has been reviewed in the New York Times, Art Forum, ArtNet and Art in America and is also represented by Mark Moore Gallery in “Hail to the Grid”, which will be on view starting November 21st, 2009.
