Italian still life photographer Guido Mocafico, born in Switzerland in 1962, explores the architectural and aesthetical aspect of nature through the eyes of his camera. Currently residing in Paris, Mocafico works regularly for international magazines such as Numèro, Paris Vogue, Big, The Face, Self-Service, and Wallpaper. Besides working with magazines, Mocafico has teamed up with numerous advertising campaigns for Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Clinique, Shiseido, and Hermes. Over the last four years, Mocafico has been focused on his personal project related to architecture. His book, Serpens is quite a beautiful compilation of snakes and their mesmerizing shapes and patterns. To get yourself a copy, go to Steidl. Even for those who’d rather look at a fluffy bunny than a snake, these photos will have you asking yourself why you ever despised the gorgeous little creatures.
