Keith Schofield’s post-modern commercials and videos turn out the wacky and absurd, using nineties iconography and image sampling. I’m not sure if there’s any real “controversy” about Schofield’s allegedly taking credit for other people’s work, since the images work in a new context and are defensible in their presentation.
Schofield’s latest video is “Heaven Can Wait,” a song from Beck and Charlotte Gainsbourg’s upcoming IRM record. Meanwhile, Beck has been turning out great mixes, covers and videos on his website.
