Mike Giant, born in Upstate New York, is the proud founder of Rebel8 clothing, a tattoo artist, graffiti artist, fine artist. Oh yes, did I forgot to mention, he’s also a photographer. He went to the University of New Mexico for 3.5 years where he majored in architecture which explains his signature precision line work. Mike has spent ten years in San Francisco and has paid his dues as a graffiti artist, repping for BA crew. His first solo show was at The Link Gallery in San Jose, CA and his first monograph, Manifestations, was published by Gingko Press. On an average day, Mike can be spotted riding his bicycle, making art, or listening to trees.
The other Mike, Mike Kershnar, is a man who believes in living. He believes that each and every one of us have a gift to share with the world and lives his life embodying his core values. These values of which he speaks of include purpose, passion, joy, gratitude, and a real relationship with the natural world and its Creator. His artwork is inspired by indigenous art styles from all over the world, especially Northern Formline, the Huichol aesthetic and Aboriginal dreamtime art. These two driven and creative minds come together and collaborate on this video, giving you a peek into their lifestyle and artwork. Take a look.
