“The Mama Papa”

Plants and Animals latest offering, La La Land, is louder, and tougher, but also showcases them their smoothest and most cohesive to-date. Inspired by a rediscovery of electric guitars, amplification and fuzz pedals, it takes us up and away from Parc Avenue’s Montreal-in-the-summer vibe, and out into the rock n' roll ether. Their striking , black and white video for the new single "The Mama Papa," was directed and conceived by Sinbad Richardson, a young Montreal filmmaker. It stars Plants and Animals, as well as childhood friend, Joe Cobden, an actor who has appeared in I'm Not There, The Aviator, and more. In this French inspired, dark humored short, a telepathic reveals a child's quest for freedom through rocky heavy jams. Plants and Animals’ sophomore album, La La Land, will be released April 20th on Secret City Records. They will be performing several shows at SXSW, and a complete North American tour which will take the band through all the major cities and beyond. *** http://www.plantsandanimals.ca/ http://www.myspace.com/plantsandanimals
