Pollyn – Can’t Get Into It (Altair Nouveau Remix)

DFA producer Brandon Mitchell (Altair Nouveau), who is from San Francisco, shows some California love by remixing Los Angeles-based Pollyn’s “Can’t Get Into It” (from their self-titled record) into a danceable house track that sounds like early-nineties Saint Etienne. The song is made sunnier than the more nocturnal-sounding original. Perhaps it reflects the difference between two cities. I’ve always enjoyed San Francisco more in the daytime, while Los Angeles is best experienced during the night, when traffic slows and buildings glow.
