Hezekiah has long had critical acclaim and talented collaborators, putting out music with the likes of Scratch (The Roots) and drawing comparisons to 9th Wonder. He’s a MC-producer who mixes “hood sensibilities” with socially conscious raps. In other words, he spits tough-minded lyrics that don’t verge on the thuggish and materialistic. Hezekiah rhymes, produces, sings and plays his own instruments, which is more one can say about most rappers on the radio nowadays.
