VICE Magazine and Intel present The Creators Project, a new digital media channel dedicated to presenting creative talent from emerging artistic centers of the 21st century. American, French and German artists are represented in this network, including Fool’s Gold, Phoenix and Peaches, but several other nationals–Brazilian, South Korean and Chinese–also share their works on The Creators Project. The worlds of music, film, art, design, gaming and fashion are likely to be influenced by countries outside of the traditional Western paradigm. The Creators Project works to document the spread of cultural and economic power across the globe. One can only hope that more countries, full of new ideas and narratives, will find representation in this network of creators.
This Saturday, June 26, The Creators Project will hold its inaugural event at Milk Studios (Meatpacking District of NYC). Interpol, Die Antwoord and Mark Ronson are just a few of many bands who will be performing, along with presentations by filmmakers (Spike Jonze), artists (Takeshi Murata) and architects (MOS Architects). Tickets are sold out, but the entire event will be streamed online at The Creators Project website.
