Janette Beckman’s photography exhibition entitled “Archive of Attitude” will be the third artist installment Project Space. Beckman draws her inspiration from her days in London during the punk era through New York and Los Angeles’ hip-hop decade. This was all accessible to Beckman right in her backyard when she lived in New York City and embraced hip hop culture with open arms which gave her the opportunity to photograph the originators, including Afrika Bambaata, Run DMC, Salt-N-Pepa, Grandmaster Flash and EPMD. She knows what’s good. Beckman’s photography speaks for themselves as she spotlights musicians, fans and youth culture. Let us not forget Beckman’s photography even covered The Clash, The Jam, The Sex Pistols and Boy George, as well as three album covers for The Police.
