Yuck Rocks Room 205

Incase’s Collaborative Approach to Music and Filmmaking
With a standout live performance of “Milkshake,” Yuck delivers a healthy dose of mellow distortion in their second installment of Room 205. Sweet, but definitely not saccharine, the song opens with a cameo appearance from video muse Ariela Marin, best known for her leading roles in the band’s official videos for “Rubber” and “Get Away.”

Odd Future’s Halloween Party

It’s Gonna Get Weird.
Jackie Gleason Ctr – The Fillmore Miami

Multiple Venues – Barcelona, SPAIN
Live Review: 6/16 thru 6/18/11
Recap of Sonar 2011 by EM’s International Correspondent, Rick Heffernan.

Touching down from an Australian Winter to the Barcelona summer of my long-time surrogate home was well worth the 23 hours of horrible air and bad food. The town’s much beloved Sonar Festival was going through its annual madness; for it was only few days from kicking off (giving me just enough time to ditch the jet-lag and piece together a schedule of catch-ups, check-outs, and meetings.)

The sprawling 18-year old festival officially takes place over the course of three days and two nights.

The Tingler

William Castle’s Pioneering Weirdo Horror
The Cinefamily – LA, CA
10/31/11

Detail from The Cinefamily: Our month-long Halloween celebration concludes with the spine-tingling horror of The Tingler, William Castle’s weirdo masterpiece of gimmickry about a lobster-shaped monster that feeds on terror within the human body! Aside from being the first film to use LSD as a plot device, the original theatrical run was presented in “Percepto,” whereby theater patrons were administered buzzer shocks in their seats, to simulate the monster’s attack.
