Diana is a native of Temple City but commutes all over Los Angeles so she can do social justice work at the Asian Pacific American Legal Center and cover events for Los Angeles magazine. Between all the LA smog and traffic, she fell deeply in love with radio personalities such as Ira Glass, Kai Ryssdal, Michele Norris, Henry Rollins, and the Click and Clack brothers. In her spare time she likes to collect zine books (http://systemsofoperation.blogspot.com/) and do contemporary dance in the forest. One day she hopes to become a citizen of Sweden or Germany, whichever will take her.

Just Watched: Food, Inc.

Food, Inc. Directed by Robert Kenner.

The message is this: There are a lot dirty secrets in the food industry and it’s hurting consumers, workers, and our land. It’s a topic that’s made its rounds in the theaters with Fast Food Nation and Super Size Me. But Food, Inc. stays away from the shock-umentary approach of filmmaking, though there are scenes that are hard to digest, the film articulates an eloquent narrative that informs and empowers the consumer.
